The orioles look like the veteran team with a game plan and good sound defense, and the jays look like the young rebuilding struggling team. Bizarre.
Why would you trade young prospects when you are on a team that’s not good? Make some sense. Do us all a favour and crawl back to the hockey boardHilarious how many said it was overraction. Reality is this team wasn't all that good and Atkins did nothing to improve it
Vancouver has dealt with Jim Benning. I think they realize getting better GM's is the way to go. Atkins is not that guy
Someone told me the other day "the Jays won't amount to anything until they start acting like adults, instead of 12 year olds in the dugout".The orioles look like the veteran team with a game plan and good sound defense, and the jays look like the young rebuilding struggling team. Bizarre.
Are the Orioles a better run franchise than the Jays? Have to ask the question
Schneider: "they were a little too aggressive on cutters away tonight"
Replace "cutters away" with "pretty much everything off the plate" and tonight with "mostly of July and August"
That's a coaching failure. Literally everyone in the league knows they can't lay off.

He may have a point
Yup. It's even worse when you consider this management group was gifted a generational prospect in Vladdy to begin a rebuild with(thanks AA). Their ability to sorround him has been a disaster. Their big FA signings haven't worked out in Springer and Ryu. Some decent trades along the way in Berrios but his signing looks like a nightmare. Kikuchi is Kikuchi. Bichette is fine but there are flaws with him. When the flawed Teo is the only OF who you can develop, something is seriously wrong.I don't see how this can be argued. Their major league team right now is on par with ours evidently. They have the best farm in baseball - we have one of the worst. They have no bad contracts and already said they'll be spending big in the offseason, while we'll be looking for bargains as $32 mil is burned on Ryu and Kikuchi.
I don't think it's particularly close.
