This team is it’s own worst enemy a lot lately. Dumb dumb mistakes

Gausman doesn’t have his best stuff either today

We’ll you can tell the bottom of the order today is going to get eaten up today.

Peak Cleveland. Not a ton of scary bats in that lineup but they'll make you work your ass off by extending ABs and by getting on base via fundamental type hitting.

Gausman hasn't even been that bad, this lineup is just annoying.

Welp, time to see if this offense can score more than 2 runs.

Bats are brutal.
They’re highly inconsistent and a lot of them take selfish at bats where every swing is a home run cut.

This is why playoff success is probably a long way away. They just aren’t smart with their batting approaches and they let pitchers off the hook a lot by swinging at bad pitches or not taking walks.

Are we for real?

Botched put out at first (tbf it wasn't a routine play) -> whiffed throw to second on a steal -> botched play in the outfield. Sure Vladdy is at fault for letting him get on but for f***s sake man, he's not even in scoring position if not for the bad throw by Kirk.

Cleveland is going to win the world series on a ball that will be smashed so hard off the pitchers foot it somehow leaves for the series clinching HR. The amount of things that should be routine against this team that just aren't is wild.

Biggio is out there because Whit primarily plays second base.

Once again, this doesn't happen if Springer his healthy since it would presumably be him, Gurriel and Tapia.

Like I said Jansen and Kirk have noodle arms. At least Kirk can hit. I have no idea why Jansen is on this team over Moreno

Is there a worse-hitting club on 2-0 or 3-0 pitches than the Jays? It seems like they actually hit better when it’s 0-2, lol.

The defensive alignment could have been

LF Gurriel
1B Vlad
C Kirk
DH Teo
3B Chapman
RF Tapia
CF Merrifield
SS Espinal
2B Biggio

While still respecting Teo's DH half rest day and not playing Biggio in RF. Also Tapia in CF today sucks too.
