Lol! In all honesty I think White could be an amazing BP piece if the starting thing doesn’t work out. His control for 5 years gives management a ton of time to mold him into whatever they think is best.

Chapman has been rough at the plate lately. Jesus how many times do you get baited into a strike out high.

The biggest issue I see with this team is the in game adjustments at the plate. We see the same way guys would get out in the 1st inning and the 7th. There should be a point where each individual understands “ok this is his they’re attacking me” but you don’t see it from this team a lot. They either crush you or you get very little.

No, he doesn't. Hitting .251 (OBPing .331, which is the stat that actually matters as a leadoff hitter), OPSing .795, 18 HRs (3rd on the team behind Vlad and Chapman) 2.4 accumulated fWAR (4th among Jays hitters behind Vladdy, Kirk, and Chapman), plays excellent defence.

Not everything can be expressed as a stupid barstool hot take. "OMG his batting average sucks because he's a leadoff hitter!" is the most reductively meaningless bad faith argument you could muster.
