I don't get it with Berrios. He is only 28, not like he is supposed to be declining. He's been so consistent in his career, this just doesn't make any sense.

Ugh were they shifting sandy leon, cant be giving up a lead off double to him and you shouldnt be shifting scrubs. They will hit it wherever they can.

Vlady is showing what a great hitter he is with that patience against that flamethrower. Is Bo watching?

Oh, and Berrios has been the definition of inconsistent. You don’t know what you’re going to get right now. Atkinson should have done all he could to acquire a SP.

Not acquiring a starter was terrible. Everyone knew they needed one.

I dont know why when the team is down a run and the ball is lightly hit to right field and someone like bo is on first, guys are not trying for 3rd base, but thankfully tapia came up big after the terrible strike 2 call to bring him in from second.

I would love to see this team win yet after battling back, but when the games are tied heading into the 9th or extras, and the other team is at home, opposing teams will just play small ball and thats a nightmare for the jays.

Tapia proving the naysayers in here wrong again. He just gets the job done more often than not.

He really doesn't. He's improved from being unplayable to being a league average-ish hitter on the whole which makes him useful in a limited role.

And for whatever leverage-indexed/"clutch" splits count for (it's not much given the small samples) he's actually a worse hitter in high leverage situations than he is in medium or low leverage ones

I'm willing to eat crow on the earliest stance of wanting him off the team for being terrible, but he's still a 4th OF.
