Shows how weird of a game baseball is. They've looked like ass for a good majority of these last 6 weeks and yet the stats reflect a different story.

It's like my buddy telling me Vlad is a one year wonder because of him looking "shitty" this year..yet his wRC+ is still hovering at like 126.

Yup. Baseball unlike other sports is a sum of your individual performances. The sum of their individual performances is around a top 5 team in baseball but they are playing like a borderline playoff team with the 12th best record.

There are a lot of positives but means nothing if they don’t come to the surface. Need some players to come back to life, a big pen move from the FO with ideally an impact bat and most importantly, Schneider needs to get them to play like a team. He has a big job ahead of him. A strong finish with some results in the playoffs, he could be in line for the job permanently.

Berrios settled down to pitch a pretty good game.

4 starts in a row now where he's been pretty solid. I'm starting to think he figured things out at least somewhat.

Have mostly Jansen to thank for that.

f*** I missed the Kirk HR

Definitely don't feel great about how this series was won, but 5 of 6 is hard to complain at this point. Just keep finding ways to win, especially when you have a bunch of hot teams around you in the WC

They don't ask how, they ask how many.

I wanted a series win, they gave me a series win. Wasn't the prettiest, but they got it done.

Hopefully the break gives them a few days to reset and they come back refreshed and ready to dial in.

A series win is a series win and it doesn't matter the opponent. Still lots of work to do but maybe a confidence builder going to the break. Refocus and be ready for a important 2nd half

Does anyone have the in depth numbers for Tapia and Biggio this year?

Feel Tapia has been a solid add at a fraction of cost for what money Grichuk made, haven't followed his year in COL

Would like to see a head to head stats for them and looks like Biggio is back to a bit of what we saw a couple years back?
Poised at the plate and punching in some key hits late in games?
Being a decent depth utility guy
