I see Reese is still Goins it up, poking the ball wherever nobody is not.

Why is Zimmer on this team, again?

Pitching in general is horrendous. How has this team figured out to add value to everywhere but the pen?

Cimber and Romano are the only two guys I trust coming out of it and then we're currently staring at a rotation where f***ing Ross Stripling is legitimately the third best option they have. Ahead of guys they spent hard money on in Kikuchi and Berrios.

Still a long way to go but as it stands now, I don't trust the pitching as currently constructed unless you can get Manoah to pitch three times in a playoff series.

*shrug* Relievers are voodoo. They even took the route where they put 100mph scorchers in the bullpen and they flamed out. That's why relievers are always dealt at the trade deadline.

Putting together a competent bullpen is equal parts skill, random chance, and good fortune.

Richards was good last season and now he's a tire fire. Mayza was crap then great and now he's been crap this season since he came off the DL. Garcia had been fairly reliable in the last few years until he suddenly isn't. outside of the closers that get stupid money there's rarely such a thing as a reliable bullpen arm from year to year or even week to week.

They could stand to find a few more big velo arms to give the opportunity to, but almost every reliever comes by that job after first failing somewhere as a starter. They're all misfit toys to some degree and every time out you're rolling the dice that they can keep it together for a few weeks, a few months, a season or more, etc.

Well in my defence, it was 9-5 in the 8th and the bases were still loaded with 1 out when I posted that.

Also, considering how the BP has pitched lately, it wasn’t completely out of the realm of possibility that they could have lost 😂😂🤣🤣

Garcia has been a solid addition thus far. No complaints considering he gets some of the toughest matchups in late inning situations.

Gotta be panic time now. Make some kind of move. This season is slipping away.

Lol calm down they're still in a playoff spot as of now. Although I do think management needs to make some moves to compensate
I understand where they are and that tb and bos are right on their heels. This team has been trending in the wrong direction for far too long.

Slipping away might be a bit of hyperbole but the current stretch has been a bit concerning. In truth the AL really isn't that good. The Yankees and Astros are the clear top dogs but with how ramshackle it is, the Jays have a lot more breathing room than people think.

Boston has been incredibly sporadic all year, Tampa has hit a wall as of late and then Minnesota and Cleveland are trading the last wild card when the other falls out of the division lead. Still a lot of baseball to be played and the Jays, if they continue their current pace would be a clear cut playoff team.

Don't lose hope. the 2015 Jays were 50-51 at the deadline and decided "f*** this, laughing time is over" and proceeded to make some big trades and rip absolute ass down the stretch. For comparison, this team is currently still 9 games above 500 with some of their biggest pieces not finding their groove yet.

The bats are fine. The starting pitching talent is there. I think Berrios will turn it around but not so sure about Kikuchi. It’s the bullpen that’s the concern. I was hoping Pearson would be one piece but he got injured.
