If the only difference between hitting a great pitcher today and getting shut out yesterday by some goober is that today they're facing a left handed pitcher, then maybe the Jays needs more good left handed bats after all.

I wish Sportsnet Pacific would stop showing Harvey's commercials. We literally don't have any Harvey's in the province anymore and all it does is remind me of what I can't get.

from my last couple experiences, they really must have done some cost cutting. even the veggies taste off and the hamburgers no longer taste the same

It's been a couple of years since I last had a burger from them. We lost most of the locations when their partnership with Home Depot ended and all the Home Depots switched to Subway as the integrated food stop like 10-12 years ago. After that the last one that was here was up in Kelowna as a takeout-only counter in the back of a Swiss Chalet. So I would get that whenever I would go up to Kelowna to visit my grandmother. But between covid and weather and just hte fact that I haven't had the time to get away over the last couple of years I hadn't been there since like 2019 or 2020. Then I heard the location closed a couple of months ago and looked online to find that there are now 0 Harvey's in BC and only one Swiss Chalet.

Maybe it's for the best that I never got to try them again if the quality changed, but while they were around they were probably one of the better fast food burgers around outside of semi-premium options like Fatburger and Five Guys and I couldn't argue with getting the fries/onion rings combo if I was indecisive.

Their original burger is a joke now, angus is mediocre but their buffalo chicken sandwich and Buffaolo chicken poutine are PHENOMENAL. Get the buffalo chicken poutine, add ranch sauce and lettuce and thank me later (also ask for extra gravy and buffalo sauce) its life changing.

Stripling has played such an underrated part for us so far. I'm sure the Overdrive guys will still insult him and call him chicken strips though.

Whats that 2 hits over his last 3 starts

For me its dairy queen there burgers and poutine are probably damn near the best of all fast food now expensive compared but fantastic. Just make sure to ask for xtra curds and gravy

Plus you can get a blizzaed or.a.peanunt buster parfet or if you love someone a ice cream cake lol

I have never understood why people ruin great tasting food by adding.ranch. its like spuds go best with nacho cheese not ranch

Why not? Harvey's is awesome.

Because there are NO Harvey's locations in BC anymore. At all. Anywhere. And Sportsnet Pacific is only regional for BC and (I believe) the Yukon. So they're advertising a product that nobody in their broadcast region can buy.

I got my dad an ice cream cake for his birthday because he loves them (I'm... indifferent at best) and holy hell they're like $45. I hadn't bought one for years and didn't know that was the price.

For fast food burgers my go-to is Carl's Jr. Solid burger, not too pricey, and the waffle fries are very nice. DQ is good if I'm going past one but they seem to have replaced the "ultimate grillburger" or whatever they had with a fancy special sauce with their new "stackburgers" that are not quite the same.

If I'm going for something on the pricier side of fast food burgers there's a Fatburger locally which is good and Triple O's (the fast-service burger joint arm of BC restaurant chain White Spot)

But just to say on topic, how bout them Blue Jays?

And another solid outing for Stripling. He's an underrated piece of the pitching staff.

Right back on topic cause i have no burger joint within 120 kms lol

Yeah if we didnt have strip we would have been forced in to a trade. Is it me or have we had more shutouts this season then last season

According to B-Ref the Jays had 14 shutouts vs 3 times being shutout last season in 162 games

This season so far it's 5 shutouts vs 3 times being shutout through 58 games.

In terms of shutouts posted this year's team is on just about the same pace as last year's (14/162 = 0.086419 * 58 = 5.01)

By the 58th game of last season the 2021 team had posted 4 shutout wins.

WTAF?

Alberta still has them, and they’re still delicious. Best fast food burger you can get imo. Loaded up with pickles and sauce…mmm.

maybe its just all the blown games in the first 2 months of the season that made me forget about them.

No, I got that part, I meant why there are no Harvey's? Just random or something happened?
