It's usually a good sign for him when he starts to hit line drives out of the park. I think the signs are there that he's starting to turn it around.

Kikuchi has been fine. Obviously not tonight with the 3 HR but entering tonight his ERA was less than 4 with a good K rate. The walk and HR rates a bit high.

I didn't want to sign him because I thought 3 years was an unnecessary risk given we had Berrios for 7, Manoah for 6, Gausman for 5 and Ryu for 2. Thought perhaps buy low on a 1 year deal with someone or go for a more expensive but high reward in Rodon would make more sense if they wanted to take some risk.

Obviously tonight has been terrible but he's been about what you would have expected prior to tonight.

Took longer for the Twins to decide if they wanted to challenge than it took for the actual challenge. That's not to say it took the Twins long, just the review was so quick. Shulman was talking over it because he wasn't prepared for the umpire to announce the safe call so quickly.
