Hunter Pence isn't terrible. He might have a future with some polish. Not the others though. Nolan has a niche that works for her and it's not in the booth. She's a comedian not a commentator.

I haven't heard the term used in forever but it is a real thing. I remember having a baseball game on my late 80s computer called Hardball or something like that.

EDIT: Hardball by Accolade. It was featured during the opening scenes of The Princess Bride being played by Fred Savage.

So... we can't DH Danny or Kirk likely because of the stupid "but then the pitcher has to hit if we move the catcher off DH" junk. But we can put him in for a PH appearance then yank him immediately afterwards, leaving nobody ready to catch except whoever the emergency catcher is. Which'll be.... who? It was Katoh but he's gone. Would they move Biggio behind the plate because his dad used to catch?

EDIT 2: Well, it won't be Biggio since he's out for Chapman now. Curious development given that Biggio's been solid tonight and Chapman is a K machine.

Found out my mom is watching this game (I turned her into a baseball fan some years ago). She sent me a text:

The medical staff must concerned about Springer getting injured again like last year. He seems to be the DH every 3rd game.
