The air there looks absolutely gross. Not only how hazy it is in the stadium, but the brown sky backdrop you see when the ball flies into the outfield.

The youtube broadcast had awful commentary but the visuals and stats and whatever were fine (and when stats were used, at least by that one commentator, Sarah Langs I think? they were fine too)

This one is just bad from top to bottom. I'm sure some people are going to like the minimalist graphics package but the production is just total amateur hour.

Case in point here: This is their own broadcast presumably with their own camera crews and producers and whatever. It's not them just talking over another team's video feed. And yet they can't even time up the commercial break cuts so that the commentary guy can finish his line heading into the break before he gets cut off. And that's happened multiple times so far.
i may have disliked that youtube broadcast more then most. or i remember it being that bad i just remember coming back from it thinking it may have been one of the worst i ever heard

Oh it was absolutely terrible and unwatchable. But that was almost entirely down to the awful, awful, awful commentary that was like 5 guys just yammering about whatever.

The commentary here is still bad, but all the technical aspects of the broadcast are miles worse. The commentary might actually be the least offensive thing about this game when they're not going off on tangents about stuff that's not the game.

your description jogged my memory lol, i can hear the implosion of 5 people trying to talk at the same time

It was literally handled by a bunch of guys in their studio sitting on a couch around a table like they were at some club.

The only broadcaster who seemed worth a damn was Sarah Langs, who had decent stats to interject with. But she had to fight so hard just to be heard over the others cracking bro jokes and laughing at how clever they were that you'd be forgiven for forgetting she was even there.

Reactions: as Pure as Evil
Can't imagine apple is selling any headphones with their reporter wearing them on the field. More likely the opposite - crazy weird looking

yeah it just came across as such a piss poor presentation

Ah the ol' interview the pitching coach to ask them how the opposing pitcher is getting his offense out and also mis-pronounce the name of his pitcher. Seen it a thousand times.

I don't think this pbp guy watches baseball all that much.

the fly ball goes up and it's got Gurriel coming in on it pretty easily vs Bichette running back and being in position to have to make a catch over his shoulder if he had to.

"who wants it."

In what universe would that not be the outfielder's ball? I mean short of him tripping on a sprinkler while he's still 20 feet away.

The pbp is Stephen Nelson and the other two in the booth are Hunter Pence and Katie Nolan.

Ummmm, did we need to hear mic-ed up sprinting sounds with no words whatsoever? and no Blue Jays fans didn't love it

and what the hell just happened
