Do you know what makes less sense? He won't be batting behind Tapia tomorrow, because Tapia won't be playing... and neither will Jansen because Kirk will be catching, Springer DHing and Zimmer in center FML

Agreed. You rest a guy when he isn't going well. Besides, he's had plenty of time off with his injury. The guy is playing great and in a rythm, why disrupt that now.

Tomorrow's Manoah start is an Apple TV exclusive. What a load of crap. It was bad enough with just Youtube poaching games, but with pay streaming platforms swiping games and shutting out regional broadcasts it's just dumb. I'm not paying for Apple TV for a handful of games a year. And I can't necessarily even listen to the game on the radio because Sportsnet 650 Vancouver airs maybe half of all Jays games because they'd rather fill their airtime with 3 hours of off-season Canucks talk radio or something dumb like that.

This has happened to the Yankees Just image their outrage..... It's going to happen in the NFL this year too with Amazon Prime.

Including Groshans and Moreno the jays have like 9 or 10 infielders/catchers that are better hitters then Tapia but we have to play Tapia because outfield depth is so bad. We need to trade infield/catcher surplus into an elite outfielder so we can stop this Tapia non sense.

best guess is the whole "if Jansen were DHing and Kirk got hurt we'd have to lose the DH spot to put Jansen into the lineup and the pitcher would be stuck hitting for the rest of the game" excuse. Because IIRC Collins was sent down so we're only carrying 2 catchers now.

Which is silly because it's not that big of a deal or likelihood to kneecap the lineup like that. But here we are.

IIRC there's been (or will be) at least 1 Yankees game on the Apple slate.

Apparently it can be watched for free tonight without one of those "trap" free trials that charge you after the trial expires, but I haven't checked yet.

I did check and it is free to watch the game even if you don't have an apple tv subscription plan. You have to start the apple TV app on your device of choice and have an apple ID (like if you've had an iPhone or used iTunes in the past). once you've logged in you can select the game and you won't be asked for payment options or anything of the sort.
