What the heck is the batting coach doing? We just watched Vladdy and Bichette get controlled by low and away pitches for a whole month, so now the ENTIRE team is chasing low and away pitches? Somebody call Dante Bichette or something.

This team is just sad. Berrios needs to wake the f up and start pitching like the ace he was signed to be. Watching the reality of a team with no depth and bad management come crashing back down to earth

I haven’t been happy with the team’s hitting all season and the last 2-3 series all around. We were very lucky early in the season with 1 run games and that’s catching up to us.

They need to pick it up but I think that will be coming soon.

With Teo back, that means less of Zimmer and Tapia.

Both Jansen and Biggio are expected back soon as they played rehab games this week and they have been killing AAA pitching. Ryu is expected back on Saturday and hopefully he is better. That means Heineman and likely Collins get optioned. If not, then Capra. Means Jansen can catch and Kirk can DH more. Means Biggio can be the lefty bat to get in the lineup instead or Tapia/Zimmer and he can play some OF. Also means with Ryu back, Stripling is your first long guy out of the pen. All around the team will be better vs inferior competition.

And most importantly, after this weekend’s series vs the Rays, the Jays next 29 games are vs;

Seattle
Cincinnati
St. Louis
Los Angeles Angels
Chicago White Sox
Minnesota
Kansas City
Detroit
Baltimore

We should be at least 7+ games above 500 after this.

Yes, this is still a very good team. Glad you said it. Yanks are also not 22-8 good or whatever they are. They will have slumps too. Ebbs and flows. It doesn't matter who is first in the AL East on May 12th, it's about who's first at the end of the season. I still believe that will be the Jays.

The only time the division was decided in the first 35 to 40 games was in 1984. Nobody was catching Detroit after the 35-5 start. Yanks will come down, we're heading into the same soft stretch they just came out of. This will even out and I have confidence we will be on top when October rolls around.

Assless Chaps Man

Oh thank God Springer is fine. I got so depressed seeing Tapia warm up in case.

I hope it's not so bad and he will miss a couple of games only. You'd think if it was really bad, he wouldn't even go out to bat that inning,

You'd think so, but Teoscar shouldn't have been allowed to keep swinging after he hurt himself. They need to stop listening to the players when they say "I'm good" because they'll never not say they're good.
