The part that seems to missed here is that through 32GP (I'm including today because he is the DH), Springer will have played 11 full games in CF this year. (He's moved to RF 7 times for Zimmer).

I get that he can't play every day, but 20 (total games playing in the OF) of 32 seems a little low given that it is largely to justify putting Tapia and Zimmer in the lineup, isn't it?

The "full games in CF" doesn't really mean much to me since moving him to RF for Zimmer late when they're leading is absolutely the right move. If you want to complain about Springer only starting 18 games in CF (and a couple in RF when Teoscar was hurt and Zimmer started), I can get behind that. Personally, I agree that they seem to be overdoing the "regular rest" thing, though it'll be interesting to see if they ramp up his playing time as the season goes along.

But the idea that giving too many PA to Tapia and Zimmer in April and May in order to rest their oft-injured CF and fill in for their currently injured RF means they're going to plug them into the lineup in a playoff game is just unbelievably disingenuous. The main reason those guys are playing too much now is literally to make sure the likes of Springer and Teoscar are available in October.

It's kind of the coaching version of "management didn't trade away prospects in Cleveland and didn't sign any major contracts in 2016-2018, so they never will" argument. It makes no sense at all.

He needs reps in the OF to get his legs. If we are up big, I'd love to see him pulled completely. I'm not a huge fan of half-rest, but I'll accept it for Springer if it is the different between playing or not.

I would have liked to see Biggio in RF more and the number (20) is a little low for my liking.

Why isn't Taillon getting the boot?
Because he isn't a Jay

Every game lately is the same.

1) have the opposing starter on the ropes early and let him off the hook, and then work his way through 5-6 innings.

2) get dominated by the opposing bullpen.

3) waste a good start from our starter when our bullpen blows it.

4) Vladimir Guerrero Jr. left on deck at end of game.

The lineup needs to be juggled. What they're doing right now isn't working.

We need Jano back. Once he's back, it adds another piece to our attack, but it also takes Tapia and Zimmer off the field completely at least 50% of the games

F*cked over two days in a row by two three run Yankee short porch specials. Great. Fantastic. Totally cool thing.

This team is really disappointing so far. I know its a long season but they have to be better! Ownership has spent a boat load of money expecting a return!

MLB: There are legally required field dimensions for every ballpark built after 1958.

Yankees: We don't feel like listening to those. We're just going to do what we want.

MLB: Ok. You guys can have special treatment because we love you. Would you like us to juice your strike zone too?

Yankees: Sure, if you're offering.

Things will get better when this incredibly difficult stretch to start the season finally ends, but it's definitely troubling that the Yankees appear to be a better-built and better-managed team right now.

The superiority of the Yankee bullpen is especially noticeable.

Things are clicking for them right now and will for us once a few guys are no longer needed.

One of the worst thing to happen in pro sports in recent years is the MLB being allowed to buy Rawlings.

Most leagues it wouldn't matter but a league being allowed to control the production of its object of play when said sport is super vunerable to ebbs and flows by changing said object's components is kinda bullshit.

The NBA tried to change its ball like 15 years ago and it was met with near universal disdain by players. I think even when they changed producers (from Spalding to Wilson) there was a pretty big outcry until players eventually adjusted.

It'd be nice if the Blue Jays were at least fun instead of this incredibly boring version they are masquerading as.
Last years team might've lost alot of close ones but they were fun to watch, this years team is just...blah, at least so far.
