ye it was a bit of hyperbole, just frustrating to watch. He isn’t even close to making contact most AB.
Ya. I was thinking about this earlier. Who the hell made the schedule?? When do we play lesser opponents? KC Cleveland etcgood win, this stretch of teams is insane. but only 1 game behind the yankees as of now with an INFINITELY more difficult schedule. doing it all without a good portion of our starting 9.
we play cleveland after the yankees series which is good, unfortunately after that its the yankees again, then the rays, then the mariners lolYa. I was thinking about this earlier. Who the hell made the schedule?? When do we play lesser opponents? KC Cleveland etc
pretty nasty schedule so far.
Wow!we play cleveland after the yankees series which is good, unfortunately after that its the yankees again, then the rays, then the mariners lol
its legit the hardest stretch of teams i can remember ever lol. thank god we caught the redsox when their offense were playing like junk lol .Wow!
jordan romano sir lol, cmon hes canadian man..cant mess it up!!Great job Romaro!
I definitely think he's excellent, but there was a stretch where there was some very, very hard contact against him, so I'm really glad to see him really settling in there.jordan romano sir lol, cmon hes canadian man..cant mess it up!!
Totally agree! Yeah 1/2/3 have been very good!its legit the hardest stretch of teams i can remember ever lol. thank god we caught the redsox when their offense were playing like junk lol .
to be 14-8 so far is such a great sign, and our offense has been pretty mediocre so far too, barrios(outside of 1st game)-manoah-gausman have been UNBELIEVABLE!!
meant your spelling of his name haha. but ye he had a few shaky moments, but in the end a save is a save!!!I definitely think he's excellent, but there was a stretch where there was some very, very hard contact against him, so I'm really glad to see him really settling in there.
i think manoah has a legit shot at a cy young this year, which is mental to think of.Totally agree! Yeah 1/2/3 have been very good!
Oh, oops, lol. That's disrespect, sorry Romano!meant your spelling of his name haha. but ye he had a few shaky moments, but in the end a save is a save!!!

If you expect Tapia to be the next Ichiro then you're in for a rude awakening. Dude's a good 4th outfielder who brings a lot of things grichuk cannotSorry Tapia sucks too. Can’t wait until their both planted on the bench.
It's a shame Merryweather has been struggling. I'm still hoping he can become the Merryweather of opening series last yearGreat bullpen work. Funny how that happens when Merryweather, Thornton, and Saucedo aren’t pitching.
Yeah his offspeed pitches have been virtually unhittable so far this season, the fastball on the other hand.... woof:Merryweather's underlying numbers are fairly good.
Yeah his offspeed pitches have been virtually unhittable so far this season, the fastball on the other hand.... woof:
xBA / xwOBA / whiff% :
Fastball - .530 / .638 / 23.3%
Slider - .086 / .074 / 50%
Changeup - .089 / .087 / 18.2%
It's funny because his fastball is decently unhittable too, but when guys hit it, they're getting it right in the sweet spot and they're mashing.
It's crazy too because 97mph with the threat of 2 plus [plus?] offspeed pitches *should* result in his fastball playing up. Instead it's the reason he's getting blown up.It seems vaguely familiar that might've been an issue for him even when he was acquired and why he was something of an also-ran prospect in spite of the raw stuff. That his fastball was blistering but exceedingly straight/flat and when a guy could catch up to it he would tee off.
