I think there are many players all over the minors that could hit better but Zimmer is still doing us a service by playing some good centerfield. Doubt they move on yet...

Zimmer has a better career wRC+ than Tapia. Guys been trash, but he's the 5th OF and great defensively. It's not even like he's been overplayed at all this year either.

Correction, this brutal start to the season has made him a 2% worse hitter in his career than Tapia.

He's not the worst. There are 5 guys out there who are worse than him with similar or more PAs. And not all of them come with the advantage of playing quality defence at a premium position.
