Missed the game today but it seemed like an epic one. Springer is clutch asf and Gausman continues to put up ace-like numbers. Also looks like Espi went 3 for 3 as well!

Garcia was roughed up though....damn 4 runs allowed, hopefully this was just a one-off hiccup cuz dude's been elite so far

Wow what a win tonight.

This team has some very clutch hitters, especially Espinal and Springer. It seems like every time Espinal gets a hit it's at the perfect time. Chapman has also had some clutch hits on different nights. Espinal and Chapman might not be Vlad offensively but their defence and clutch hits make them so valuable. This team has a very special feel to it, I know it's just 18 games but still.

Also Zimmer took away a double today. His defence is amazing. You could say taking away a double would be worth the same as hitting a double, it just doesn't show up as a nice on the score card. This team is all about defence this year, love it.

Also this might be a hot take but when Hernandez is back, I wouldn't mind using Hernandez more as a DH instead of the 2nd catcher and putting Springer in RF and Zimmer at CF. Zimmer doesn't have as good of a bat as Collins or Kirk who would get less DH ab's, but the defence Zimmer brings in CF makes us so much better defensively then when Hernandez is in the field. You still keep Teo's bat in the lineup as a dh and you have the 2nd catcher as a pinch hitter. And it's not like Collins is likely to keep this up either.

I don't think Collins will keep this up but his start is interesting because he's not really showcasing the advertised plate discipline in the form of walks/OBP, but he's absolutely clobbering anything that he makes contact with. He's first in LD% (43.5%!) among players with 30+ PAs, 12th in EV with 94.2 (next highest Jay is Chapman with 92.4), and he's been calling great games for Gausman. I think Zimmer has solid defensive value but as of now I'm riding the Zack "W" Collins train to see what we have there.

How does he score on that. I swear the ball was halfway to the infield before he rounded 3rd.
