Getting Cimber might've been the best thing Joe Panik ever did for the Blue Jays.
Nope. Different guy.
Isn’t everyone down right now due to shortened spring training? I think he also started last season off slower too.Ray’s velocity has dropped quite a bit to start the year.
Suicide squeeze incoming from Gurriel

His fastball is bottoming out at 90? Wow, I did not know that.He started off last year really good touching close to 98. His velocity started to dip towards the end of last year 94-95. So far, he has had the biggest drop of any pitcher. He's bottoming out at 90MPH which is well below he was last year. He had a slight increase last year compared to 2020 which is why he had a strong season.
If his velocity doesn't get back to 96-97 he's going to be awful.
Most pitcher's velocities are where they should be.

Heere's last game.
One caveat, the conditions weren't great with a lot of rain but the rain stopped and he still couldn't get his velocity up.
Maybe the Jays saw this too and that’s one of the reasons they shifted so quickly to Gausman?
