Biggio has quietly surpassed Espinal in OPS by 48 points. Most of us preferred Espinal early on and he's still the better defender but Biggio is looking like a pretty good option at 2B again.
Since he came back up, he's been solid in the field and at the plate. Just needed to ground himself and re-focus.

If Jays win and Yankees lose, we would be 4.5 games back. I know, I know, it’s not probable but anything can happen. I am not losing hope for the division title.
Berrios in better form with Stripling back really improves things fast. If that continues the only weak link on the entire team is #5 starter. And with expanded rosters we can basically get away with only pitching White/Kikuchi 4-5 innings combined and we have a great bullpen. So we almost have no real weakness... Jays look good. So ofc since I wrote that something bad has to happen. But seriously the panic on here 2 weeks ago was unreasonable imo.

Jays have one 3 game series left against the Yankees too .. winning that series would make up another game and sweeping it would make it so close.

But the Jays schedule is wild .. I remember seeing Baltimore at the beginning of the season and thinking it's a cakewalk but now they have:

- 8 games against the O's (3 home, 5 road)
- 9 against the Rays (5 home, 4 road - includes a 5-game series at home, then a 4-game series at the Trop)
- 3 games against the Yankees

Then you have 2 games against the Phillies, 3 more against the Red Sox (at home), and the upcoming 3 games against Texas.

All in all the Jays are in control of their destiny for a playoff seed and positioning.

Hopefully this is our team starting to peak just at the right time

14-5 in our last 19.

FML that Angels series hurts. They're 14-2 outside of those 3 games where they were outscored 22-3 at home by the 20th place team in MLB. We'd be on a crazy run right now if we'd managed to take the expected 2/3 in that series.

Games 1 and 3 of the Angels series were the most unacceptable. To get beat 12-0 at home when you've won 6 of 7 at Fenway and Yankee stadium is an embarrassment and the one on Sunday was also terrible. Saturday wasn't a bad loss imo you're facing Ohtani and it was a pitching duel

Biggio is a good player. Very valuable to this team.
I probably still prefer Espinal over Biggio as a player but I'm a lot more open to them platooning than I was earlier this year when Santi was clearly superior by a landslide

Sportsnet NOW isn't working on any device other than Apple (iOS)

the SN Now app is mostly garbage. I've tried to watch via my PS4, the app on my laptop, and the website itself and it crashes and fails with regularity. The only places I can ever get it to work are on an Amazon tablet (which I side-loaded with apps from the google play store including the Sportsnet one) and an amazon fire stick that's hooked to a non-smart TV.
