I hope to see more players try and bunt to get on base when the D is shifted.
3-1 count and his job was to get on base anyway he could and they gave him free shot.
 
I don't think he is one of the better relievers on the team.
He's been good since coming to the Jays... I think you're underestimating him quite a bit. His only issue has been the HR problems, but that's somewhat negated by bringing him in to start a fresh inning with a 3-run lead. Plus, like others said, a 3-run lead in the 8th isn't even all that high leverage.

And there's also the fact that Phelps, Merryweather, and Mayza all pitched yesterday.
 
That was an insane game. These 2 teams are ridiculously close.

That's true. They probably don't want to use those guys back to back either.

Since Richards gives up a lot of homers don't like using him against the Yanks.
