WJC: 2022 Team Canada Roster Talk, Part II

A glass-half full perspective, I think if Canada ends up with Kent Johnson and Mason McTavish, they are in very solid shape here.

A lot of nice compliment pieces along with a guy named C.Bedard who should cause teams a lot of trouble at this tournament.

So excited for this to go down. Few weeks away!

I agree. I think the team is very solid (up front).

11 days away! Time is moving slowly (for once) and maybe that's not a bad thing - it's nice for time NOT to fly by.

Not bad considering it’s a literal B team. Missing eligible players who would be on the team include Byfield, Perfetti, Jarvis, Neighbours, Guenther, Sillinger, Johnston, Wright, Bourque, Bourgault, Power, Drysdale, Guhle, Barron, and Clarke.

Missing something like 13 number draft choices. This makes it all the more exciting for me. Let's go boys you can win this.
 
Forward group has lost of punch, but then again its Team Canada lmao. The replacement players are still for the most part exceptional, absolutely terrific to retain McTavish and Johson. The D core will miss Power and Guhle, but its still so stacked. Great to see the trio of goaltenders all return, it will be interesting to see who takes the starting role given Cossa's WHL playoff run.

I certainly hope Bedard and Stankoven get prominent roles. Still can’t believe Cameron had them as the 13th skater/scratched to start this tournament in December.

Also missing Bourgault, who is not playing to allow a core muscle injury to heal before Oilers camp.

I'm going to be in Vegas for my birthday during this upcoming WJC in August. How much should I bet on Canada? How confident are you guys feeling? lol

Agreed. Especially now that Othmann is finally on the team. They were always electric as a duo.
