The D would probably be something like

Drysdale, Power, Lambos, Sebrango,O'Rourke.

Byfield would still be eligible but not sure he would play

No way Guhle isn't on the team

For some reason I was thinking he had a late bday and this was his only year eligible. Youre right, he'll play big minutes next year probably. That D will be so tough to play against

Guenther Byfield Foerster
Perfetti Wright Perreault
Sillinger Lapierre Jarvis
Johnson Greig Foudy
Bourque

Guhle Drysdale
Power Clarke
O’Rourke Lambos
Sebrango

Plus some random goalie. If things become somewhat normal by this time next year I could see more than a few of these players in the NHL. There are also plenty of questions with regard to when the CHL players will actually get some games in.

I think there's a pretty good chance Perfetti and Byfield have played their way into the NHL by next Christmas.

It is just me or has the name "Cole" become popular all of a sudden?

Since Levi will be 19 at the start of the next World Juniors, can he play?

I can't remember the rule - I'm sure he can't but I can always hope.

It's completely based on birthyear. Only players born 2002 or later or eligible. Levi is done after this year.

never too early for roster projections.

next year's team is shaping up to be another good one...provided of course the NHL doesn't gum the works up.

I'm hoping for the Savoie bros to make it.

but it's not looking likely. Wright will be there for sure.

I'm sure we're all looking forward to putting 2020 in our rear view.

I think Carter has a chance but Matt will definitely need a real hot start in the W to have any shot at getting a camp invite. That’s just my opinion though. I agree with you that Wright should be there for sure

Slightly off topic, if Byfield is there for a 3rd year...who else has ever played in 3 of these?
Outside of Ellis. Spezza and Boumeester if we are just talking about Canada. Both made it at 16, and played as 18-year-olds. Lindros because he refused to sign for the Nordiques. Trevor Kidd made it 3 times, but one year was as the 3rd goalie who didn't play. Magnus Pajaarvi-Svensson made it 3 times for Sweden. Ovechkin made it 3 times in a row (one entirely because the NHL was in a lockout), Malkin did too. Kuznetsov did too. Those are just the ones I can think of right now.

There are probably some others for smaller countries. Although, a lot of those countries and in and out of the tourny so, they rarely stay 3 years in a row.

In Byfield's case, it'd be really weird for it to happen considering there is nothing stopping him from going to the NHL (no holdout, lockout or lack of transfer agreement see Ovi, Lindros, Malkin, Kuznetsov) and he's a 2nd overall pick. Spezza got drafted to a strong team, so was left in junior another year, and Bouwmeester remains the only late-birthday 16-year-old to make it (and therefore wasn't draft-eligible until after 3 WJC's had passed). It's very rare for a Canadian to be there at 17,18, and 19, with most of the examples being prodigy's who made it at 16 like Lindros, Spezza and Bouwmeester who weren't in the NHL for differing reasons.
