It goes by year of birth, not how old a player actually is

Dragicevic was in tough with the RHD options they had. MacKinnon basically took his spot by playing the same kind of role but better. I'm surprised they went with Bonk over him, though.

Peddle doesn't surprise me. He was impactful at camp but also out of control. Management probably decided he wasn't worth the risk in a 4th line role.

The Hlinka is by straight birth year, so this year it’s purely for anyone 05 and younger. Doesn’t go by how old you actually are when the tournament begins.

not too surprised Meidema was left off the roster. needs to improve a lot if he wants to go first round.

Seems like an ideal scenario being able to play U20 players to tune up for the tourney. You know those U18 guys will be up for these games.
