I haven’t been following the draft but I do know goalies are nearly impossible to project. Leafs just stack ‘em and hopefully develop one decent starter. That goes for this draft and the next.
Do teams fake their draft rankings? Like what stops a team like the leafs, say they are really high on Lambert, but float it around the league, and put it out to the consolidated rankings that Lambert is on their do not draft list? Anyone think this happens?

I'd rather not make those mistakes to begin with. Good GMs take calculated risks, not by volume.
There's a reason he has to make so many trades; there's an inability to identify the right talent/fit.
He makes more moves than 2/3's of the GMs easily and most of them are lateral moves at best.

My feeling is the Leafs are getting organizationally thinner and thinner and they’re making a ton of mistakes on short term asset churn.
If we rewind to last summer, maybe investing in the best goalie possible to replace Andersen right away would have been the best long term plan.
All it would have cost would have been a bit more cash and cap space on the UFA market than cheap Mrazek, or at the very worst a 1st, 2nd prospects for Kuemper for example. Or sign Jack.
Now we don’t have a solution, will lose Jack and lost the 1st and 2nd getting rid of Mrazek and Ritchie.
We ended up paying the assets anyway. We should be investing in blue chip goaltending.

How can any fan or organization like the direction ?? I'm watching the Netflix series Drive to survive. Drivers who make mistakes and do not win lost their ride. The Leafs just keep shoving it down our throats. Ridiculous.

The fabric came from the Maple Leaf Garden rafter banners sold by the ghost of Harold Ballard.
late first round picks have the same value as early 2nd rounder...last year leafs drafted knies last year and probably goes in the first round if there was redraft.
again it will depend who leafs pick tomorrow, but moving 13 spots is not the end of the world.

Well I was right about where Lambert was going for months. Scheiefele, Connor, Laine, Lambert. It's the same player over and over and over.
