Mailloux for me but Farrell is winning this

Mailloux would have had to play the entire half of the season to get a better picture. However, I feel he will be underrated due to his mistake and he needs to over accomplish to get the same respect in prospect ranking as others.

Question? Is Mailloux considered a WJC in Aug candidate?

I think there's 0 chance the Hockey Canada is taking Mailloux considering what's going on right now.

Going Farrell for recency bias. I feel he's very good at the moment and projecting well. There's a bunch of guys with higher ceilings but he looks more on the path to reaching his. Hutson could very well be our best prospect in 5 years, but who knows what's going to happen at his size and with his growth.

Still voted Joshua Roy. I'm probably irrational, but I believe in his star potential more than the other guys, including Farrell.

Logan Mailloux would be my 2nd choice.

Add Xhekaj, Struble and Dobes.

I don't think the majority of Montreal fans knows exactly how much talent logan Mailloux have. I've watched him as a 15 year old defenseman demolishing a Junior B league with London Nationals finishing first overall in points among league defensemen playing against 20 and 21 year olds (18g 50a for 68 points in 48 games) The man has a deadly shot and is very fast on skates with a long smooth skating stride, Al MaCinnis is who he reminds me of except Logan is bigger has as good of a slap shot and wrist shot, looks like it'll be as accurate too.

My immediate impression on seeing Logan Mailloux play against admittedly bad competition, was that he looked like Denis Potvin out there.

The fanbase is underrating him no doubt.

It's pretty much a crap shoot from here on out.

What do you prefer: upside or probability of reaching potential? Solid all around or high end offense? Size will be a problem or it won't be? Order can go either way and no real "right answers to these questions when ranking.

He has skills and skating. We'll have to wait to see if he can process the game at NHL speed.

I see some Chabot and Malakhov - at the Junior level though.

True, Vladimir Malakhov is another alternative to Denis Potvin as a comparison haha.

We'll see what happens

You watched him as a 16-17 years old (D-1) not 15. At that age, most talented Ds are in the OHL, not the GOJHL.

That is part of the problem in evaluating him. Most games we have to evaluate him are in a subpar hockey league (GOJHL or HockeyEttan) that will always make him look better than he is. He did good (with his flaws) in his short OHL stint this year, but that's a small sample.

He's also been injured for months at this point, who knows what is play will look like when he comes back.

I struggle to get excited by Harris, expect him to be a solid all around D but nothing special. Voted Barron
Yeah I was thinking Barron. Also thinking Farrell. I just remember some NCAA coaches thought pretty highly of Harris and also I think he might play in the NHL this year possibly so I went with him. But lots of good choices right now. (I was also thinking Mesar)

Its Justin Barron rather easily. Hes 100% a top 4 D, probably even this year.

Same floor as Guhle, higher ceiling.
That's who I went with.

No matter the ranking there is good depth for quality NHL players in the near future or moveable assets. Nice to see.

Voted Mesar. Farrell might be ahead right now, but I think at 20 Mesar will be scary. Fully expecting Mesar to crush it in the OHL next season.
