They should be in.

A best possible roster would probaly look like:

Texier - S.Da Costa - Fleury
Roussel - Bellemare - Rech
T.Bozon - Leclerc - Bertrand
Douay - Louis Boudon - Perret
Hordelalay, S.Treille

Auvitu - Thiry
Gallet - Guebey
Chakiachvili - Morant
Crinon - Manavian

Buysse
Ylönen
Hardy

Question marks are Roussuel (contract) Bellemare (playoffs) and Morant (injury).

Imo, France is underated. Pretty good roster actually.

No Douay and no Hardy. Boudon had a terrific year at LSSU, happy to see him included. I like Addamo as a player, I assume he's just not considered fast enough?

No Dubé or Simonsen. Too much old garbage☹️

Yup, I think of those you mentioned, at least Fabre has a good shoot. Maybe Dair too? As for Dubé, yes he I still in the minors, but I thought they would at least tried him, since he produced when he was with the NT before christmas.
Also, do you think Boscq will make it on D?

Update
The last lineup against Latvia (2-1 W , 2-3 L) was :

G
H-C. Buysse
Q. Papillon / S. Ylonen

D
H. Gallet / A. Baazzi
F. Chakiachvili / R. Bault
J. Boscq / V. Llorca
T. Thiry
(P. Crinon)

F
B. Maia / L. Boudon / J. Perret
G. Leclerc / M. Bouvet / D. Fabre
P. Valier / F. Colotti / P-C. Hordelalay
L. Farnier / J. Bougro / K. Bozon
A. Dair
(T. Bozon)

The players who will probably join/make the team for the WC :

D Y. Auvitu / E. Guebey ?
F A. Texier (if healthy) / A. Roussel ? / D. Fleury / S. Treille / A. Rech / C. Bertrand / V. Claireaux / N. Ritz / G. Ville ?

There will be difficult choices to make both in defense and offense!

Just seeing the thread.
Hardy, Manavian and Hecquefeuille retired, that's why they're not here.
S. Da Costa is injured (groin)

We don't know yet about Texier or Roussel. They're on the pre-list, but recent injuries could scare their NHL teams. Roussel just came back, Texier took a leave of absence from Columbus for family matters and didn't play for months. Bellemare in Tampa will be in playoffs, I don't see him coming even if Tampa loses in 1st round.

At this point, all we can say : GK looks set with Buysse, Ylonen, Papillon who took the 3rd seat from Fouquerel IMO.

D should have Auvitu and Chakiachvili as leaders, with Gallet-Thiry now firmly regulars.
3rd pairing still a work in progress. The coach loves Bault, he's gonna be in. Crinon was there for the OQT.
At this time, that's a battle for the 7th spot, with Llorca the favorite as the XP guy. But Guebey and Bosq are making a push.

FW, the center position looks weak if Texier doesn't come. Tim Bozon, Rech, Bertrand, Fleury, Sacha Treille, Perret, Claireaux are locks. I'll say Ritz as well because he's a center with XP and good PKer.
= 8.
Means 5/6 to find.
The Bougro-Farnier-K. Bozon line was so impressive vs Latvia, they could stick.
Boudon is still a project, but why not.
Matima and Valier should be in, Leclerc as well.

I don't see a spot for the others, maybe Fabre could surprise but, like Boudon, he's a long shot.

Would have love to see Simonsen, so unfortunate injury :(

I don't think you meant to write that :sarcasm:

BTW Farnier plays LW, Bougro C , K. Bozon RW
For the rest, you've said it all !

It will be tough to be competitive this year, it can goes from decent to really bad

Watched the games against Italy and Slovenia. Kind of impressed that they went scoreless from there;) Was Gueby cut early? No one could be worse than Crinon, that is a disaster for sure

This is wonderful news for France! What about Roussel? Is there any news?
Not at this time
After being injured few weeks he played the last 6 games with the Yotes
IMO this is take the risk of being injured again (he is at the end of his contract) versus the need to play and convince that he can still help an NHL franchise on the 4th trio / PK

Before the injury, he was great and came out in the first two links) In any case, he will strengthen the national team.

Yep sure he will
But his participation is very uncertain
Giving an interview for TVA Sports he spoke about his near future and didn't mention the WC...
