Holy shit, turned the game on just in time to see the replay of that Slavin hit, he played that perfect and struck him so damn solidly, wow.

Ragdoll is one thing, the fencing response makes me uncomfortable, but I don't think I've ever seen a guy get... starched like that. I can't think of another word for it, he went, like, "action figure in the box" before he even hit anything else. Holy shit.

Where was this Gudas on the caps. Looks like a different player out there.
Learning how to do it, I think.

I mean, he went from unhinged nutbag to "no guys he's kind of surprising" to just another guy out there to pretty decent so I think it's just sort of been growing as he plays. He was probably better for us than the teams that came before, he's just been getting better as he learns.

I was just guessing that he'd be 33 at this point, turns out he's 32. That tracks with the "defensemen have a later prime" model and sort of learn the ins and outs of their position into their late 20's.

Yeah I watched all the angles and I think that was a perfectly legal hit. Couldn't see any contact with the head.

But there are always fools who get upset and claim it was a headshot and Bennett's a POS etc.

Hopefully Slavin will be ok. He's a damn good player.

he was actually pretty good on the caps if i remember
He was at least not bad. Every once in a while he'd get torched but honestly who doesn't? He showed up, played games, was a truck and not a distraction, he did the job pretty well realistically.

Nope, that's about the most legal complete toasting you're going to see. For as long as hitting is part of the sport that result is always on the table, and you don't love to see somebody hurt but at the same time they all step out on the ice capable of making those within the rules and I'd hate to see those hits just gone. f***ing rocked him.

Gudas was better in Philly than he was in DC.
Was he? I mean, I'm asking because I only got impressions but short of being deployed more on a shittier team I don't know what he was doing different so I guess I kind of just assumed he was continuing to develop
