I think Bedard is a pipe-dream. Plus he belongs to San Jose.

Carlsson is who I'm starting to like. Michkov would be great. Fantilli would be fantastic too. This draft is absolutely stacked. I'd take any of those 4 guys 1st overall in some years.

I don't think that's fair to say, there's a lot of talent in the top 10 as this is a deep draft.

It's also not fair to say that we're on the trajectory of a "middle of the pack team with limited talent" with what we do have.

We have a lower end 1C in Suzuki, a potential 35-35 player in Caufield, imo a top pairing defenseman in Guhle. Those 3 alone are amazing pieces for any rebuilding teams but yes there is still a lot of work to do.

In addition, we have one of the deepest prospect pools (no superstars mind you) in the NHL that are all performing well to incredibly well in their junior teams. I think we're in a good position but time will tell.
