Manson would still be worse(Though barely). 4.5Mx4 versus 4.4Mx3 so only slight worse from a money standpoint. But ultimately the Manson deal is what puts us in the awful position of having to get f***ing Dvorak as a 2C(If that's what ends up happening) in the first place.

But come playoff time the game changes and Girard has shown for the past 4 years he cannot handle a heavy game. He was destroyed in the Vegas series last year and got killed this year vs St. Louis.

I love Manson as a player, but he’s regressing hard… the contract won’t age well at all.

Completely disagree on Manson. He picked up his play as he settled in, and peaked in the playoffs, showing everyone what he's capable of.

One of the best, gritty, mobile, stay at home defensemen in the entire league. Top 10 for mine.

Absolutely DO think he's amazing now. He'll be a fan favourite very early on this coming back-to-back seasons.

Is EXACTLY what we need to balance this leagues best defence, and he plays an integral part.
