I’m not sure if even Brady could turn that franchise around (although full disclosure I’m a huge lolphins hater). Just like the flyers, they’re a rudderless ship with no real prospect of success and the best they can hope for in the next 5 years is a 1st round playoff exit.

i was trying to remember all our failed drafted goalies over the years, but more so in the last 15 years or so..

in no particular order Tyler Weiman, Kent Patterson, Trevor Cann, Vitally Kolesnik, Sammy Aittikalio, Calvin Pickard, Shamil Shmakov, Trent Miner, Martin??? I’m drawing a blank on his last name. Anyone else I’m missing in the last 15 or so years?

Spencer Martin. Apparently he's doing ok in Vancouver thanks to their good goalie dev system

That’s right. I also forgot Werner and Will. That is actually a lot of goalies who never became anything. I really hope Annunen can take the next step.

Funny anecdote about Kolesnik: when I was playing overseas, both of my coaches were from Kazakhstan. There aren't many famous Kazakh players outside of Antropov, but I knew about Kolesnik solely because I was an Avs fan. So I name dropped him. Turns out that my coaches were good friends with him from childhood, and gave him a call right then and there

Best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life was a Wagyu cheesesteak with a truffle cheese wiz. Not the norm obviously, but straight legendary.
