i'm underwhelmed by the deal. don't understand why we dont get a first back...
but to carry on (not you) like there were better moves that Drury passed up on?

All im saying is even if there wasn't a better trade now why not wait till the TDL to trade him. Why did it have to be now. Even if Eichel comes in Buch could've stayed till the TDL.

Blais is not a very good hockey player. Buch is coming off a great season. Trading a top-6 winger for a 4th liner and a 2nd is awful no matter how you slice it.

What would have been the cost to acquire Blais? A 3rd? If we wanted him that badly you could have acquired him, or someone like him without sacrificing Buch. And I get we had to move Buch. All I’m saying is Drury got shit value for him.

I thing I’ll wait and see what the other offers were before I make that assumption. I’m sure we’ll find out

Players get disgruntled about all sorts of things, I'm sure losing your best friend of many years back to the KHL days is high on that list. Especially when the trade makes your team way worse

Keith Olberman was just on TSN radio and said having Gorton and JD fired was something Drury had been low key trying to get done all season. He's also not a fan of what Drury has done thus far.
I didn't even know Olberman was a hockey or Ranger fan. So take that for what it's worth.

Being that the agent does 90% of the negotiations and he’s playing for one of the biggest markets in the world along with the lime light NY provides and with endorsements I think he’ll be just fine. Players well know this is a business. Not some summer job with the boys.

And I can tell you for a fact players are a lot more thick skinned than you think
