Even compared to last year, 2020-21 presented a host of obstacles to player evaluation for amateur scouts for all NHL teams, and they were rather daunting. How did they overcome or work around them? How did they get the information they needed for each prospect? LA Kings Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Yanetti spoke with Frozen Royalty and gave us the scoop on how they dealt with the problems created by the continuing COVID-19 pandemic for the work done by NHL amateur scouts, and for the Kings’ amateur scouts, in particular.

Staffs isn’t a real word.

The Staff is working hard - singular.

Staff are disappointed in all regions - plural.

If LA has a scouting staff and Anaheim has a scouting staff, then there are two amateur scouting staffs in So Cal. It's multiple groups of people

It doesn’t matter if the employees are separate collectives. Staff is plural.

Just like rice is plural.

4 - when talking about a stick - yes staffs.

5 - e - plural staff is still staff, not staffs.

So you would say:

Each Scouting Staff Member - singular.

The Scouting Staff from Southern California teams worked extra hard.
 
Since we're making corrections, nobody spotted that Yannetti's name is misspelled as Yanetti?

Aside from that, really interested in part deux and what Yannetti has to say about the prospects in this draft.

It’s an ongoing issue with these blog entries, along with non sequiturs and run-on sentences. Gann needs an editor and people will continue to point it out.

Refusing to recognize an error you made despite having the reference handed to you (No 5, staffs, plural, for a group of officers) is a highly developed skill on the Internet, particularly for someone trying to troll. Well done.
