Shouting from the rooftop!
Don't draft running backs in the first round.
Agree. And it makes less sense considering you're about to install a SF/Shanahan inspired offense.
They'll probably go with a combo of 3 RBs rotating them and leaning on the hot hand/matchup as SF does.
Simms QB rankings
1. Wilson
2. Lawrence
3. Jones
4. Mond
5. Fields
6. Lance
Simms says Wilson is clearly number 1 for him.

personally, i hate the whole TE thing. Yes, there are multiple good TEs but visions of a higher picked TE dominating the game year after year never happens. The better TEs are usually beyond Round 1.
T.J. Hockenson and Eric Ebron were going to be great
Hayden Hurst
O.J. Howard
Evan Engram
Hunter Henry
I don’t care how good Pitts was in college. Like the top two above all the skill gets replaced by “ he can’t block, he has to improve his strength, his pad level is too high, etc”. None of these guys dominate like a Kellen Winslow or Tony Gonzales. They’re all nice but forgetful. No way i touch a TE early.

lol - once rich, these athletes really do try to pass on arrogance as if they're preaching intelligence. Nevermind the hypocrisy.
that’s a red flag for me. Based on his size, blocking, etc he’s kinda a hybrid.
Kind of a TE and kind of a WR, Great versatility and a matchup nightmare . . . and sometimes ends up a guy without a position on the fball field.
Sounds like Evan Engram....
Pitts is alot better than Engram but I wouldn't sniff taking any TE with a top 10 pick.
That would be a luxury pick.

Yeah Pitts is a different beast but agree no way you take a TE in top-10.
If Pitts is a multiple all-star/all-pro and could be a Hall of Famer, I'd draft him top 10. Although, I guess this would go for almost any potential player lol.
Realistically, if the Jets trade back, maybe they could select Pitts then.

so he wasnt nearly as good as a freshman and sophmore than he was as an upperclassman? there isnt anything fishy about an upperclassman being way better than when he was an underclassman. the argument is pretty weak this year when the rival qbs in this draft played for super teams and had it easy as well.View attachment 403221
PFF has an article about matching the draft QBs to the best NFL scheme fits. Not team, scheme fit.
Wilson best matches Kyle Shanahan. And well you know what style offense our new OC is gonna run with the Jets...

That's nice but I don't put any stock in what Simms says. To be honest, I'm not sure how he even got so far with NBC seeing I've listened to him over the years on NFL Sports talk in NBCSN and he blows chunks. Oh wait...that's right his last name is Simms.
I never ever learned anything from him. He reads he papers of the beat writers and regurgitates what they say. Sorry but if Phil wasn't his Daddy, he'd not have the gig he has.
So that all said...Lawrence from everything I've seen, read and heard from people alot smarter than me and Chris friggen Simms, is head and shoulders ahead of Kyle Wilson...ridiculous this Simms BS.
