Last night's win was huge. In a way, this is a bigger game though.

On the one hand, divisional matchups are most important going forward. However, the Kings NEED to beat teams they should be beating, and securing two points against a bottom-feeder will go a long way.

Tend to agree, I hate to lay anything on the goalies because most of the issues are special teams related—but if for confidence if nothing else, I want to see a solid performance with no self-inflicted wounds from Cal. We actually need him to step up big here.

eh...I might call that a correlation/causation issue. If we're trailing in the 3rd period I fully expect the Kopitar line to be getting extra shifts. I'm more inclined to believe that Kopitar's ice time is higher in many of those games because we are losing, rather than concluding that his higher ice time is contributing to the loss. McClellan seems content rolling 4 lines in a tie game or with the lead.

Kopi is 7th highest league-wide TOI for centers at 21:01, Draisaitl is tops at 22:45. Crosby is at 19:50. Kopi def the highest for someone in his approximate age group.
