Can't resist blind optimism on game day! Kings 4-2. Kaliyev, Andersson, Doughty, Kempe. Let's gooooooooo.

So AA, one game back and out again? Goodness.

I think it's just somewhat out of date.

The Mayor's projected lineup:

Kempe – Kopitar – Brown
Iafallo – Danault – Arvidsson
Athanasiou – Kupari – Kaliyev
Lemieux – Moore – Grundström

Other options: Andersson and Anderson-Dolan
Protocol: Lizotte

Anderson – Doughty
Edler – Roy
Björnfot – Durzi
Other options: Maatta

Quick (starter)
Petersen

Are these the lines? Moore has never played center for the Kings so cant see that happening all of a sudden especially after the JAD callup. Also not sure AA fits with Kupari and Kaliyev. They were out of sync and couldnt get him those flip passes. He barely touched the puck and when he did he scored on an empty net from his own zone. Maybe theyve been practicing together though

JAD getting Clague'd pretty good here.

f***ing TM.
Yea hard to understand it. Hope it doesnt last so long that they lose him for nothing. If hes not in the plans they should make some moves while they can. Montreal wanted him in the Pacioretty deal so maybe theyd wanna work something out. Though thinking they have a different gm now so who knows… just weird they are giving him the runaround when he has done what they ask of him at every stage.

But we love him so much! he's a great, complete player, high character, leader, responsible 200 ft player who scored at nearly a 20 goal pace from the bottom six in his rookie year.

*promptly buries in AHL, calls up Tynan at same time, keeps JAD on bench, sends back down, brings back up to bench again*

f*** this organization so much man. I'm asking for a trade if I'm anyone under 27 at this stage. Mismanaging people so much we're still playing waiver games with 22-24 year olds (well, late 20s too if we're talking about Frk!).

Initially I thought bringing that many people to camp could have been a positive thing because of the competition but the competition doesn't matter if you already have your minds made up, all for show. Especially when you can't evaluate your way out of a paper bag.

Honestly it's because Blake didn't show any balls. He re-signed a bunch of bridge players on one-year deals to hedge his bets on the youth. And you know that TMc is going to play the vets most of the time all things being equal.

You've invested high draft choices and development time in these players and it's time to show faith in them. But instead he's played it too safe and rubber banding these kids because they are waiver-exempt. Loading up the roster with fringe players just in case. Those players have been serviceable but there is zero upside to them and they are not the future of this franchise.

To be clear I was and am 100% in favor of the Danault and Arvidsson pickups. Hell even Edler. Those are the right kind of bridge players to help the youth along while still being effective at a greater than replacement level.

Moore played really well last year, but has disappointed thus far this season.

TMac must really be seeing something in his game to suddenly put him in at center.

Moore's career FO% is 34.3%.

Yeah, at some point you move beyond hedging your bets and are just voting no confidence.

Just utterly gutless.
