Same. Ironically, in a season where we may lose more than any time in the last 5-6 years, it’s kind of a “no lose” season.Apart from Boyd, I like this roster a lot more on a personal level than prior years. Lots of neat little storylines and guys you can cheer for. Pretty much everyone other than Chychrun and Soda are on the expendable side of things. And regardless of how things turn out, BA already has a buttload of picks.
Should be fun.
Mayo can be a healthy scratch 30 games in a row and it won’t matter because he’s never going to be an NHL player.Weird to send Provo down for another right hand shot in Mayo.
They don’t have a 2nd or 3rd round pick in either of the next two drafts. But they picked Jack Thompson in the 3rd round back in 2020 and he’s looked like a superstar in the handful of Sudbury games Ive watched this year. I’d retain the max on Kessel AND add a pick to get Jack Thompson based on what I’ve seen from him. I’m sure they want to keep him, but the three-peat looms large, and afterall, he was just a 3rd round pick.Kucherov out for a while. Kessel landing spot just opened up.
I think Kravtsov is worth about a 2nd and Georgiev about a 3rd. So maybe Kessel and our own (very early) 2nd for the pair?Is there a deal to be made to obtain G Alexandar Georgiev and FW Vitali Kravtsov from the Rangers?
He’s been playing like the 4th liner/13th forward he was before he left the NHL for Russia. What's up with Jaskin? I must have missed some news on him.
Except he's not playing. Didn't play on the weekend either. He’s been playing like the 4th liner/13th forward he was before he left the NHL for Russia.
Correct. Preseason and opener, he’s been 4th line/13th material.Except he's not playing. Didn't play on the weekend either.
Looked slow and lazy in preseason and slow and lazy in the season opener. What's up with Jaskin? I must have missed some news on him.
That contract must be the biggest misstep by GMBA so far?
You're right. For some reason I thought it was 2 years. But even then, I'm on board with most moves he's done so far (yes, even the Dvo trade), but early on this seems like a mistake. It's big $$$, but only one year, so meh.
General goodwill? Further Tocchet damnation? Or just hope for Hayton? The guys who got out of the dessert are all off to strong starts. I like to see that.
It's been that way for years. We've been a mess with development through several ownerships, front offices and coaches. The guys who got out of the dessert are all off to strong starts. I like to see that.
