There seems to be confusion about seeding in the semi finals. Others have said that Canada would get the US if all the favorites win, not Russia.
That’s correct. Sweden is highest in the seeding while Russia is the lowest favourite. Which means Canada would play the USA-FIN winner.
Really? My bad if that is true. Is that how the reseeding works? I thought it was bracket style for the medal round from quarters to semis. Does anybody have a link for confirmation?

It is a new rule for this year.
Sweden plays russia and USA plays Canada in semis.

It'll come down to team discipline. If Germany can play relatively composed it'll be theres. If not, I think the light blues might sneak out an early lead and surprise the crowd in game 1.
Ah, I was going to say, I covered the tournament live last year and don’t remember that playoff format. Thanks for the clarification.
