Like I mentioned before I can tell you wanted Lapierre and nobody else. But 3 concussions is a major red flag. 1 concussion is not a huge concern but 3 serious ones at his age doesn’t bode well for him. I think you’re severely underrating Schneider
This is going to be my last post on the matter for a bit.

I was not high on ANY defenseman in this draft besides the top two. I was not a Schneider guy from what I’ve seen. I didn’t think any defender besides the top two was worth trading as asset for.

I would not say that I was locked into Lapierre, I would have been just as happy with Marat K., who both seemed were on the radar. With no 2nd rounder, the value (in my opinion) would have to get a center.

there are certainly arguments for Schneider, I just don’t happen to agree with a lot of those narratives. Which is fine. I’m not rooting against the player.

No Shakir? I actually love what he has the chance to become. Askarov is interesting. I doubt they would've traded up to grab him, though.

Can you comment on if the deal or deals being discussed with the flames are dead now after today or if they are things still being discussed?

Grans I like

so we can assume that if Gorton can move Strome for 33 That either grans or o’rourke is the pick

O'Rourke maybe. Grans might be rough because at some point there is only so many RDs they can take.

This might be a situation where they go a little lower on the list if they have the guys rated close enough.

You mentioned Marat K, and that’s a guy I’d love to pick up in the second. Laf/Schneider/Marat is a phenomenal draft

really hope we can pull off getting a second for Strome but I feel like his value is kaput

Really low on the "Centers" from the CHL huh.

I think they're going to have a lot of conversations about forwards, and the European leagues tonight and tomorrow.

Two years ago, Gorton gave up a 2nd to move up three spots in the 1st round from 26 to 23. Tonight, he gave a 3rd to move from 22 to 19. He’s learning.

moved up from 26 to 22 for miller so 4 spots...still learning though lol
