Look at that clip Rangers twitter posted of JG making the trade with Calgary. JD was absolutely beaming, he looked like a little kid about to get ice cream knowing they were trading up to nab Schneider.

I think that is an honest assessment of where they are now.

Strome by tomorrow either ends up qualified or some trade takes place where it makes sense that the Rangers did not qualify him.

And even if qualified he ends up traded one way or another before the season starts.

Yup. That was something I noticed too. Little arm pump knowing they just moved up to grab a kid they had ranked highly. I'll trust them as I don't know much about prospects. Hope he pans out and we have a problem of too many RHD. Good problem to have in my mind.

Someone asked earlier and I'm curious of the answer to this, if NYR was able to move into EDM's spot do you believe schneider is the pick there as well?

Guhle and Schneider were the highest ranked guys on their list.

One thing to like about Gorton is he's not afraid to make moves. Seems like so many GMs sit on their hands and try and wait things out and are afraid of taking swings I guess because of job security mostly.

Gorton doesn't seem to hesitate at all. He has a plan, he finds the players he wants and makes moves. Gotta love that about him.

Like I mentioned before I can tell you wanted Lapierre and nobody else. But 3 concussions is a major red flag. 1 concussion is not a huge concern but 3 serious ones at his age doesn’t bode well for him. I think you’re severely underrating Schneider

It’s not 3 concussions. There was an issue between his 1st and 2nd vertebrae in his neck but it’s fixed now.
