All year we wrote about Konawalchuk being a key addition to our scouting in the west. So today happens. He is doing what many of us hoped would happen.

I don't see any issue with the guys we are picking. I don't know a lot of them past the first round, but I trust the scouts and those who have seen them.

management is being creative with their "tough to play against" criteria. If he ends up growing to 6'9 275 pounds, he'll be tough to play against as a 4C as long as he can skate averagely and play responsibly.

I mean, you may think that Fox and Lundkvist are keepers, but Anaheim thinks that Zegras is a keeper. It goes both ways. You have to give to get. I doubt Lundkvist even gets us Zegras. Fox probably will. I don’t know about ADA. Not saying I really want this to happen, but just throwing out possibilities

Geesh remember when Langdon was doing a number on Chara as a Fishstick way back in the day...those were tough teams back then and fun to watch ....hard to believe how Chara evolved and I doubt any of us had an inkling of that way back then .

He’s a giraffe now that has a chance to grow into a jury (Jurassic version of giraffe and more aggressive).

I'd close our draft out with Alex Pashin, Oskar Magnusson or Ronan Seeley. Pashin because of the skill (despite the size). Seeley because we've only taken one D and Seeley is a fantastic skater, who is also one of the younger players in the class.
