You mean we're not crapping the bed?
Love the variety here. Love the potential. A lot of projectible players with clear paths as to what types of players they can be.
Lafreniere - Franchise-level forward that you build your team around. A keystone player whose presence reverberates throughout the lineup.
Schneider - Defensive specialist makes other teams bring their A game to counter your high-end scoring. You can pair with him an offensive guy as protection, or put him with another defensive player to shut down the opposition.
Cuylle - Physical support player with the talent to skate with your high-skill guys and the intimidation to buy them some space and make other teams thing twice. Underrated skill set here.
Tarnstrom - Kind of a Swiss Army Knife player who has underrated potential as a playmaker. To me he looks like a guy who could surprise offensively. He reads the play well and regularly seems ready to take advantage. In my somewhat limited viewings, he reminds me a little bit of Anisimov at the same age.
Garand - A technically sound goalie who always seems to be in position to make the save and doesn't waste a lot of energy. He looks bigger in the net than his size because he makes himself a target. Doesn't make a ton of acrobatic saves, but he doesn't have to. Was excellent at following the puck.
Vierling - Really like the value. High, high IQ players who impacts all areas of the ice. Had a chance to show off his offensive capabilities after a trade. I see a lot of Dom Moore in this kid and can easily envision him having a long career where he serves in a third line role, brings energy and constant motion and provides depth.
Berard - Excellent skating ability and who keeps the wheels churning. An all-around offensive threat who is a long term project, but a potential steal. This is a kid who can make you look incredibly smart in 3 or 4 years if he pans out.
