@Edge do you think at this point the preference is to move Strome for assets outside of this draft? Or is holding on to him and giving a QO more likely?

I honestly don't know at this point.

My guess is assets at this point, but this is already a strange offseason.

It’s crazy no one would be interested in a center who scored 60 points in a shortened season but I’d bet teams say he benefited much from Panarin and is deficient in other areas and not worth as much and are wary about contract demands
Basically every reason we want to see him traded

Team picks random player: "Really good pick. Good kid"

They are switching over to guys who approve of the kid. Last night was good because you saw Button and Macguire disagree. That was authentic and both guys went at it before sharing a laugh. Little to bombastic for US National TV for a broad audience so if they get Craig to simmer down a bit and be more subtle with indirect shots it'll be better for US TV. Think these guys are modeling ESPN, but I think they should aim for TNT.

I think a potential arbitration decision looms heavy on this one.

Teams might like him at $3.5 or $4 million, maybe a lot less at $5m.

Appreciate the response. I suppose it's possible if this round passes without a move for Strome that they look at replenishing a 2nd rounder for next season as well.

A lot of interesting bargain bin centers out there. You can get more minutes for Chytil, Howden and Barron while also insulating them with a pickup of Turris, Koivu, Granlund etc.

Will be interesting to monitor.
