I could see a Wentz-Frank Reich reunion possible in Indy if the Eagles bite the bullet & cut him. Wentz hasn't been the same QB since Reich left Philly & Indy needs to head in a younger direction. Might be a chance for Wentz to reboot his career on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Good landing spot for him. I can’t see a team making the trade b/c his contract is so high. The Colts do have the space but i think the Colts is a good call if the Eagles cut Wentz.

With the cap likely dropping significantly for one year, i have no idea how the Eagles will get under the cap. According to over the cap the Eagles are approx $70 million over with Wentz. They might be $100 million over by cutting him. lol

Good candidates the Jets are looking at so far. Daboll, Arthur Smith, Bieniemy. I hope they put in a request for Salah from the 49ers. Would check off a lot of boxes for a HC IMO.

Indeed, that's a good start. I was initially really hot on Bieniemy until I learned that Reid is still doing most of the play calling himself. Doesn't mean Bieniemy isn't still a good fit but it makes him less intriguing. He's just running Reid's offense.

The NFL East may have been bad but the Bears at 8-8 had the 5th best record in the conference and WFC had the 6th best. Dolphins missed the playoffs with 10 wins (no sympathy from me).

The Gettleman Staying/Leaving switch gets flipped seemingly every day. So far the beat seems to think Gettleman is here to stay.

Well I for one am feeling a bit better after listening to the Chris Johnson presser this afternoon. Apparently he will be doing what myself and any sane Jet fan wanted to have happen which was he will step aside to the background and he will let Joe Douglas do all the shopping and he will make the coaching hire.....phewwwwww thank the good lord!!!.....lol

Sure Johnson will be consulted with but he will not be doing the hire and that's a huge relief to me.

This is beyond huge and some of y'all might say big f'n deal. Well it is a big deal because this is not how the Jets have done things over the years. But we also have never had a more respected and competent GM as we do now in Douglas.

Anyways, Gase gone and now knowing Douglas will be the one to make the coaching hire, I do believe I will sleep like alot better going forward.

Gettleman stays, and it's deserved. He made very good personnel and roster changes last offseason, and it showed in the team's progress this year. He brought in the right coach. He brought in several free agents that have done well for this team. Looking forward to next season. It will likely be a make or break year for Gettleman and perhaps even Daniel Jones.

The team won 6 games is a Division where the winner won only 7. This is wasn’t some juggernaut division where they battled to 6 wins (4 of which came against the worst division in football since 1970). The team went 1-7 against winning teams and if Gettleman DOESN’T resign both Defensive linemen the team goes backwards yet again.

The franchise qb threw 11 td passes,10 int’s, 11 fumbles, in 15 starts while the offense scored the 2nd fewest in the league. Progress? Pretty low bar

I'd argue we need a WR more (shockingly enough), but we can grab one in FA possibly.
It's almost absurd how our WRs can't create separation. We have no one that can really stretch the field, and defenses know it.

I still think an edge rusher is a more impactful pick, though. I guess it all depends on what's there when we pick. I don't follow the NFL draft very closely, so I just hope that we get the best player at our spot.

Gettleman drafted a RB 2 overall. That's really all you need to know about him as a GM.

looking back, it was a shit draft in the top 10, so its not like the guy taken 3rd or 4th would have been drastically better. And you cant say "well, they should have taken Lamar Jackson" when he was a 32nd pick.

Great time to be a fan of New York teams. New York Jets getting the next best QB The 8-8 New York Football Giants winning the Super Bowl against the 16-0 Pittsburgh Steelers while beating Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers along the way. What a time to be alive!
