In the span of a week we've gone from the Giants being secretly good because of their record (and win over a good team) to being actually bad? For what it's worth they have the 2nd worst point differential in the NFC while being in the softest division. As I said, they're a bad team benefitting from being in a historically weak division.

they have no talent.

The Giants appear to have some NFL players on the OL and DL. The only real talent on the roster is Barkely otherwise it's pretty bare which is unacceptable when the team has been picking high in the draft for all but one year over the past decade.

You guys are basically rooting for an undefeated team this year. You probably started hoping for a tank at like 0-4, so you have 12 weeks of winning football PLUS Lawrence most likely. That's what I call a good year.

that's what i call a confusing post. They might be rooting for a winless year and 12 weeks of losing football after an 0-4 start to land Lawrence.

You might be confusing "undefeated" with "winless"...yes? You are pretty much correct tho in that once we got beat by a 3rd string QB from Denver Brett Rypien in the 4th game of the season, it was pretty much fait accompli that we were were going to suck bigtime this year.

So it snowballed and each aggravating loss got the Jets closer and closer to what would be the goal of the season which was too finish as high up in the draft as we could seeing we needed so much help all over the roster.

When it's all said and done, if we can finish 0-16 fire Gase and the entire coaching staff, hire a new staff(Joe Brady please!!) and than draft Lawrence, yeah, it can be considered a good year oddly.

Technically 12-4, I guess since they were probably rooting for the Jets at first. The Jets' fans' team after about week 4 became "whoever is playing the Jets". So they've been 12-4 in terms of who they want to win. So it's a good season plus Trevor Lawrence.

Well, undefeated was wrong, because in the first 4 weeks you were still rooting for the Jets. But your preferred team won week 5 on. It was just whoever was playing the Jets. So in terms of your preferred team winning you guys are 12-4. Well will be 12-4 if the Jets lose the last 3 games, which they likely will. But you'll also have Trevor Lawrence to show for a 12-4 season.

An odd way of looking at it but in your scenario, yes since most of us Jet fans gave up on the season being somewhat successful after the Denver game, we are 9-0 rooting for losses. 3 more of these suckers and we accomplish what we want.

I'm borderline facetious because I realize rooting against your team is demoralizing. But at the same time getting the results you want and drafting Trevor Lawrence is a win win.

Still desperately hoping for JAX to pull one out and for us to miraculously pull one out. I don't want to go winless.

Imagine being a Jags fan. You face the prospect of going 1-15 and losing 15 games in a row in a season with the best QB prospect you can remember and still not getting him.

Most but not all. Being a ranger fan should have proved that positive karma rewards non-tankers.

Usually a team bad enough to get the first pick sucks too much for it to help. In the last 20 years only 1 QB taken first overall won a Superbowl as a starter.

I think that has more do with the unpredictable nature of QBs. But Lawrence is a generational type prospect. So it's different.

Not going to be up in arms over one game. They laid an egg, big time. Moreover on the offensive side. The defense played fairly well up until they looked tired and overworked from being on the field so often. I dont think I will ever come around to drafting Daniel Jones at #6. Just dont think he has it. But he also did not look healthy on sunday. Their defense started off the game strong as they have been. A huge goal line stand to make up for Jones not seeing Golden coming right at him and tucking the ball away.

They have talent on the D-Line. Bradberry has been fantastic. Peppers has played hard and done a lot of good showing instinct and tackling ability. He isnt perfect but he has been good. Ryan, I hope they extend. You hope they have a player in Mckinney. They need one more CB, but they are making it happen with Yiadom/Holmes/etc., and this with Mckinney not making his way back fully to be worked in. Martinez has been everything we hoped. They lost Zo and Ximines, which hasnt helped but Crowder, Brown, and Coughlin have been surprisingly sufficient. Their O-Line is improving. That was Andrew Thomas’ first bad game in awhile. He is still a rookie. Gates has been good at Center. Lemiuex worked his way past Hernandez. They need to upgrade Fleming, he is garbage. You hope maybe Peart can be that guy. Maybe its Solder. And Zeitler has been as expected.

They desperately need a #1 WR. Tate, Shep, Slayton would all be suitable #2/#3’s. Tate can still play. Slayton has the deep threat ability. Theyre problem is they dont create separation enough. They are complimentary Receivers who need a #1 to open the field for them more.

I dont seen a bad football team. I see a team that has competed and has a chance to win every sunday. The concern is Daniel Jones progression, not having a #1 WR, and a premium Edge Rusher. Improving with another CB, LB, and RT is desired but it is not holding them back right now. Not every team has every position filled.

Its going to be a tough road ahead for the rest of this year, but they have shown great improvement imo. I still dont give much credit to Gettleman. I dont agree with his path of roster building. And this is someone who has no problem with the Barkley pick. I think they should not have drafted Jones, but not going down that rabbit hole again. Judge has been a great find and it is hard to gauge Garrett after 13 games when we have still been working with a developing O-Line, losing Saquan early on after Garrett likely game-planned much around him leading up to the season, teaching a young QB who had already been exposed to one coaching perspective/philosophy in his rookie year, and not having a #1 WR.

I might have overreacted on Sunday and am willing to accept that maybe injuries and rust contributed. That was by far and away the worst game I've seen Jones play ever.

The entire world knew that Manning was special. And yet, there was A LOT of debate about who was going to get taken first, him or Leaf.

I'm pretty sure Manning was never supposed to have the career he had. Leaf had a better arm and mobility, I believe, so people overthinking it wasn't surprising.

Manning was looked upon exactly as a can't miss., once in a blue moon prospect. Is that not considered "generational"? Ok

Peyton Manning was not only can't miss, he was touted as that from his freshman year on. Anyone who remembers differently was either not paying attention or just too young to recall.

Him staying in school for his senior year was a huge blow to the Jets & par for the course for that organization.

Manning graduated after junior season. He went to grad school to avoid being drafted by the Jets.

First date:

Peyton: I went to grad school.

His date: Impressive, for what?

Peyton: I went to the "University of Tennessee School of f*** You Jets"
