I read an article a few days back that was like, "The start of the NFL season is just a week and a half away!" I was like, shit, really? I guess it was the lack of a real camp, no preseason, etc. It snuck up on me.I dunno what it is...maybe it's covid....maybe it's because I know I'm not going to be able to go to any games this year at Met Life...maybe it's because I know for a fact that the Jets are going to suck. I don't know what exactly it is but this is the first year I think ever that I wasn't chomping at the bit for the NFL to start.
I've barely done any research for my big $$ fantasy team. I haven't followed with a fine toothed comb all the transactions, cuts and pretty much anything with regards to football. It's friggen bizzarre. Now I know I'll start doing some cramming for my draft coming up this Wednesday but by now I'm fully prepared with my lists already too go.
I dunno maybe I'm on an island here and not saying I'm not going to watch the games when they are on but the NFL this year....meh no biggie. Maybe when hockey is over and baseball I'll get into it but for now I'm just not into it like I usually am.
I don't really care about it right now. Football is number 3 for me and I'd rather watch Navy's college games than anything the Jets do. It may grow on me, as I've reluctantly gotten somewhat into the baseball season. Who knows. Right now I don't really care.
