Darnold back in, Darnold sacked. LOL this team is f***ing bonkers.

I figured Sam would be in a sling the next time we saw him.

I'll tell ya what tho if this f'n O-Line doesn't start doing their damn job, forget a sling, Sam is going to be in a straight jacket!. This O-line thus far sux just as bad as last years....friggen ridiculous

This team is maybe the worst thing I’ve ever seen in pro sport. This coach is a f***ing zombie.
Yeah, I mean, I'm a fan of the Jets and Mets and therefore am accustomed to horrible teams. This Jets team, however, is something else.

Worst thing is Perriman, Crowder, and Sims will get healthy, the line will come together, and Joe f***ing Flacco will probably somehow lead the team to a 4-1 finish or something similarly maddening.

The fact he’s even allowed to coach is disgusting
I don't disagree with you and I don't like that he's on my team, but I feel like the Saints were just the team that got caught. Like the Patriots got caught (and caught more because of the increasing scrutiny each time). I remember when Bountygate broke, I was like, this isn't some widespread thing? I remember watching old NFL Films stuff, and they'd talk to old lineman who would talk about how guys were always squeezing your nuts or trying to break your fingers or whatever in the bottom of piles. I know guys in high school used to tell me they'd always try to hurt other guys who were really good. Seemed like an awful, but basically inevitable, type of thing. Again--not at all condoning or excusing it. I just think it was (is?) way more widespread than we know.

Same as cheating in baseball, in that same vein. Like the Astros obviously were the worst we know of, but the Sox and Yankees we know did improper things, too. And I think it's safe to assume pretty much all clubs did in some way.

Even if you perma-banned Williams I still think it would happen. Just makes too much sense. One day a couple Ravens are going to realize if they can hurt Mahomes, they might actually be able to win. And they'll try it, you know? Even if it's not sanctioned it's always going to be a thing. Someone will decide it's worth a fine or suspension for suplexing Mahomes into the turf to concuss him if that means maybe they can win a SB.

Joe Douglas is a respected football mind, right? Like, he's watching the Jets with awareness they are shit from top to bottom, right?

The Jets need to stop signing guys that get cut by the Colts. f*** the Colts. If he's not good enough to stick with them he probably sucks ass.

Sad thing is that they basically have no one to replace him, Austin got hurt already so UDFA Jackson is in, Poole only plays the slot, and the only other corner dressed is UDFA Guidry lol.

It's why he wanted a six year deal. He wanted a chance to really rebuild it all. I think with a regular off-season where all the changes on the offensive line could gel would have been huge, and they've run into the worst luck I've ever seen with the WRs so far. Bell getting hurt also sucked, even if he's mediocre at this point. All those things combined, I think really kneecapped the team and turned what was a mediocre offense into a terrible one. Which, in turn, made a mediocre defense look like a horrible defense (and losing Moseley was awful).

I think with a regular off-season (which also plays into the injuries) this team is 6-10. Not a good 6-10 where 9-7 is right around the corner, but also not this absolute flaming trash barge that they've been so far.

It's impossible to be optimistic about the team moving forward until you see some actual progress. Still, I think there is a method to what Douglas is trying to do, and it's not a bad method. It's slow but I think he has a plan, which is more than I can say for his predecessors.

Frank Gore, 7 carries for 11 yards, hire him as a coach if you want him in the room. The team stinks, he brings nothing to the field.

I love Frank Gore. I love joking about how he had already been in the NFL for 5 years by the time the forward pass was invented. But giving him carries is so wasteful and pointless lol.
