I can't see the Jets winning a game this year, which all but guarantees they show up and trounce the Bronco's and we are stuck watching a Gase coached team for 12 more games.

I am really unsure about Douglas right now. I know a decades worth of atrocious drafting, added to awful coaches and coaching, coupled with poor FA choices, and dreadful ownership can't be fixed in 1 year. That said, his decisions on WR's has done Sam no favors and the interior of the line, all guys he has brought in, suck donkey balls. He made a great trade and drafted a guy that if he stays healthy could win offensive rookie of the year and is already fantastic. So 2 moves that are so far great, a whole lot of meh or worse, yep I will reserve judgement as of now he's a slight improvement which isn't saying much.

I can't totally kill Douglass for signing and bringing in Perriman and for drafting Mims and them subsequently getting hurt. On paper before the season the Perriman for Robbie changeover didn't seem out of whack especially with Perriman's strong 2nd half last year with the Bucs.

And most Jet fans myself included were singing Douglass's praises for not only drafting Mims late in 2nd round but in fact trading down to get him plus adding an additional 4th round pick.

So as I said, I'm not going to kill him for those two getting hurt. As far as the O-Line, we all knew this was a patchwork deal for now with Becton the only true cornerstone. I agree tho that the line has been disappointing thus far.

I'm not going to kill Douglass with regards to Adams. He was great and he has been missed but he was a diva and he wanted out and did everything he could to get out. So he got his way. Douglass tho got a very nice haul and we'll see what he does with it. Mosley opting out was unfortunate and you couldn't predict that.

That all said, I am convinced the Jets have the right guy leading us. Gase will be gone and it can't occur soon enough. I think when we look at what is obviously a rebuild, in 2 years from now, I think we'll be looking at Douglass like we look at Gorton as I anticipate he'll have some solid drafts and solid UFA signings. We just need to be patient. It sucks but it is what it is...I believe I heard that saying before...lol

Well yes obviously the gambling aspect and fans like me of the Jets and fans of Denver will watch at least for awhile. But from a football standpoint, this matchup even when I saw it before the season began and saw it was on Thursday nite, looked to me like a pretty pitiful game.

Well it's even worse than that now!

i’m down on the whole league. I think they ruined the sport. All offense, fantasy sports . . . No defense, who knows what the refs are looking at, often you have to watch the games on mute b/c of the announcers, so many commercials and, most off, the celebrating after routine plays. Down by 17, finally make a tackle so celebrate.

Former Jet Williams who was obtained by the Giants by means of one of the most comical trades ever, finally gets a sack last week with the game basically over. His grin was ear to ear. Shocked he didn’t drop to his knees and yell “yo Adrian, i did it!!!!

If you weren’t posting about hockey I’d legitimately believe that this is Mike Francesa’s account

I’ll give it to ya, you’re definitely on brand

If we put the Giants and Jets together, would we have a good team? Lol

QB - ugh
HB - w/o Barkley, ugh
WR - ugh
OL - might be able to put something together
DL - who rushes the passer?
LB - not much to chose from
CB - ahhh?
S - my gosh lol

can anybody do better?

That’s a 4 win team right there

If the Jets lose tonight I’m fairly confident they will go 0-16.

I know the Jets are winning tonight because I was hoping they'd lose....lol

And like the sucker that I am, I'm rooting for them to win even tho it will hurt their chances for the #1 overall pick. I can't help it...I'm a damn fan of this team for 50 years and even when I try and hope they'll lose and know it's in their best interests to lose, I can't help but root for them.

Uggggg....trials and tribulations of being a Jet fan!!

You can never say Darnold is without talent. That TD, the first one last week--he's capable of making fantastic plays. He shouldn't have to do that kind of stuff though and if they continue to give him a terrible supporting cast and expect him to do miraculous things, he will fail and do far more idiotic things than great things.

Sam might a major shoulder issue. He was rag dolled there. Unfriggenbelievale....typical Jet luck. Darnold with a very nice start and he gets hurt....unreal.

Now Flacco time....shoot me!

This is truly The Toilet Bowl.

Also happens to be the first NFL game I've bothered watching in about five years.
