I STILL can’t believe we’re actually in the timeline where we will have a player like Lafreniere for the next 15+ years. Wow.
Well, what is the excess on the right wing? One that necessitates a Buchnevich move?Oh I have them.
The question was beyond absurd, though.
Regarding the tanking, I misread your post. So that is my bad.... but somehow a defensively responsible center prospect like Lundell doesn't fit that bill and is tanking.
Yeah, we’re drafting Lafreniere.
Holy shit lol. I still can’t believe it.
I'm gonna have to take out a small loan to buy all the Jersey's I want. There are ALOT of good options. Speaking of small loans, imagine how expensive tickets are gonna be when MSG opens up.
Oh, well I don’t think I see too many people advocating that. I would only consider moving Chytil if it was like Chytil plus first for someone like Newhook.
I mean, I’d do it for Cirelli.
Not sure about that. Reading main boards a mid-later first isn’t gonna cut it.I think the Carolina 1st rounder gets you Cirelli. He's under utilized in Tampa and I think NYR could offer low and see if he can progress in a 2C role. If anything, use Strome as the sweetener. Both RFA's in October-November Free Agency, Cirelli will cost less.

Regarding Lundell, the answer is no, he does not fit the bill as he is a prospect and may not step into the role for another 5 years. That is NOT what the designs of the trade are about.
And Kakko.I STILL can’t believe we’re actually in the timeline where we will have a player like Lafreniere for the next 15+ years. Wow
.
That is the dumbest thing ever. Newhook is not a proven NHLer or close to it. He's got the potential, but Chytil has been in the league since he was 18. He's 20 and has been proving better each year (minus giving away the puck so often).
If the Rangers are moving the Carolina pick, it's for an upgrade at the center position or to move up/back in the draft for other draft capital.

Haven't seen this posted yet (apologies if it has been), but this is my favorite analysis video yet. He might be pumping his tires a bit much, but I choose to believe.
Neither can I, probably because I've been conditioned as a Rangers fan to never imagine these things happening. I don't think it will be real to me until I see him on the ice in a Rangers jersey.I STILL can’t believe we’re actually in the timeline where we will have a player like Lafreniere for the next 15+ years. Any chance Neighbors is still there for our 2nd rd. pick?
How does Alexis Lafreniere compare to Jagr as a prospect? I know it's hard to compare him to an all-time great but great hands, more of a playmaker at wing, but can score well sounds like Jagr.
Wanted to get a temp check on Tyson Forrester here. Yay or Nay with a late 1st?
I personally would be all over him with a 2nd round pick but I think he can sneak into the top round. Skating is ohhhh so horrible but he does so many things well and the wheels can always improve.
I can name at least 5 wings that will surpass him relatively soon or are already better - Panarin, Kreider, Lafreniere, Kakko, and Kravtsov. Chytil may be a wing too.
Panarin and Kreider, I'll give you that.
Until it happens (if), Chytil is a center. Kravtsov is unproven, Kakko needs to take that next step (which I think he will), and Laf is still ultimately unproven (that said, he will likely be a superstar sooner rather than later).
Some people are severely underrating Buch. He's legit a 55-60 point winger.
As most 55-60 point wingers should expect to.Buchnevich is not a 55-60 point winger. He is now 24 years old and has played with some very good talent on his lines the last 2 years.
