Scouting is a horrible job with tons of travel, poor job security, and without great pay.
Yes, yes it is.
This can’t be underscored enough when discussing why some people do this as a hobby and not a career.

I didn't say they were pasting their faces on punching bags looking for another level to get to lol.The same Bruins that had no problem with us late in the season? I doubt they fear the Rangers
I’m Batman. LGR!Who are you? His mother?
LolMom, you're embarrassing me![]()
I read something this morning and it sounded like they are trying to go top 12 in each conference. Top 4 are in and the next 8 will have to play a “play in” game. 5 v 12, 6 v 11, etc. We would play Toronto in the play in game. Montreal and Chicago would be the 12th team in each conference.
We would play Toronto 10 v 7
Montreal would play Pittsburgh 12 v 5
Strange things can happen in playoffs and there are fairly recent examples of both the Bruins and the Lightning imploding in the playoffs. The Bruins are an older team and I'm not sure how that effects certain of their players coming off of a long layoff. The Rangers are a young team and we will be healthy (except for Haley anyway) so it's possible that are team will benefit from that. We'd also need Shesterking to be lights out.
What would kind of also be interesting to me would be to see which Rangers minor leaguers come up to the big team--what limit if any the NHL would put on the number of players. I don't believe the new signees--Miller, Khodorenko, Rueschoff, Richards or Wall would be eligible.
7th pick is and always was a fantasy. Psst. Pass it on.
The Leafs, Florida, even the Isles should probably worry about the Rangers. But not Boston. In fact, Boston, along with the Caps and Tampa, should feel quite good and confident with a weird Frankenstein’s Monster of a playoff. The old heads like those teams should be better-off.If I was the Bruins and the first team I had to see was the Rangers I'd be a bit worried.
I just don’t want you guys to be disappointed.always such a meanie

Rather get the 7th, then in 2-3 years when we start hitting our prime I can enjoy destroying them the next following 7 years. Who cares about this postseason, let Kakko start his off season workouts.I'd rather pick 7th than get ousted by the Bruins in 4.
But I'd also love to take a piece out of them so they're easily picked off for who ever gets them in round 2. f*** that team.

Part of the onus is on us. When we start thinking Brayden Point is a reasonable return for Ryan McDonagh, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. Same with extrapolating a draft order from a (disputed) report from Marc effing Spector. We're Rangers fans.
Rangers should say screw the playoffs, take the pick and be happy with it. It’s prolly the last chance in some time they’ll get that high a pick, considering they’re already a bubble team. Then you have all that cap space freeing up after next season so they’ll be gunning to be a contender (if Dolan still cares).
It was a fun season. Lots of promise and that’s even with the Lias fiasco and Kakko struggling. You add a Raymond or Holtz or Drysdale to an already top farm system and elite goaltending, and the Rangers will own the division for 10 years.
But this is the last year I root for a tank. Was fun while it lasted. Next season I want the playoffs.
A good thought Steve but I’m afraid we’re not being given a multiple choice here.Rangers should say screw the playoffs, take the pick and be happy with it.
