They should drop the gloves off the opening faceoff. Loser concedes 1st overall.

As a Finn I Really Hope that Kakko would draft first overall. Still which is even important than the draft number is that player continue his game and What ever team drafted him continues his development in future.

Drafting team should be patient for the player and make sure that Hi gets all support for his development in the long run.

I'm rooting USA the true North American hockey power. At the same time I believe Kakko will be a better pro than Hughes.

 

[Past Considerations]

In some ways this reminds of Matthews vs. Laine. Laine was supposed to challenge #1 but at the end of the day it was obvious to everyone and every single GM who goes 1st.
