Lol Is that what you think?I guess you're right but I thought trash talking was part of GDTs.

Kinda the opposite as you as a Canadian fan, hoping for a good quick paced hockey game, hopefully competitive until the final whistleI hope we win, but I have a feeling Canada is just too good. They've dominated most of their games in a spectacular way. They always seem to figure out a way to win.
I honestly believe they could play Justin Bieber on their first line and still win the game thanks to their depth.
Brain says Can - Swe 5-2
Heart says Can - Swe 3-4
Good luck to both teams I guess![]()
I'm not talking about getting under their skin. I'm talking about the Americans starting to apply pressure and then quickly getting two goals and sustaining pressure. That's what Canada did against Sweden last year, though much earlier. It often happens at this level between Canada and Sweden, though not always. Then again you are the guy who hilariously said that Canada's depth in this tournament wasn't better than Sweden's, despite a quick look at tournament scoring very quickly proving that wrong, so I perhaps shouldn't expect your takes to be particularly observant.
The depth difference is not that great. It is true that Sweden has the best top players entering this game, and they also bring in the worst players to this game (Moverare, Lindström et.al). I disagree with the assertion that the depth of Canada is a big strength seeing as Sweden has been carried by their third line in the elimination stage. Canada's major advantage is not their depth, it is behind the bench, which is where the quality of the Swedish team is really lacking.
The sustaining pressure was true maybe 7-10 years ago on this level against Sweden. When the U.S. had sustained pressure in the second period against Sweden they were handling it fairly well, much better than in years past. What can really hurt Sweden is that their powerplay and PK has been so stationary, and there does not seem to be any adjustments made mid-game, which is an error on the coaching staff.
Ottawa should trade Karlsson so he can play on a full budget team. Also, they will be able to refurbish the team quite well with what they can get out of that trade. They do have Chabot and will do just fine without EK.How about ottawa fans who wants to trade karlsson? That is worse hyperbole then what i said.
I hope so. Steel better start lighting it up once he gets back to his junior team. They need him big time.Canada 8-3. book it.
Steel with the hatrick.
The only ones that thought the US were the gold medal favorites was the AmericansSweden took out the Gold favorite Usa quite easily, cant see another result here with a similar performance! Its a bit men against boys, a Canadian team straight from junior hockey against a lot of players who has played in mens leuages.
People doesnt understand how good this Swedish team are , went true the groupstage mostly on half speed and paced up scored when they decided that. Other years never looked like this, often emptyed their tank in the groupstage and didnt had enough top end talent to challenge for gold.
Canadian teams always plays with lot of energi and heart, throw everything at goal, but this teams high end talent arent enough to touch this swedish team with so many clutch players.
Hoping for a good game and refs who let the players decide the outcome of the game!

Haven´t the Swedish pk +statistics? We havent let in that many goals and scored 3 as i remember... The problem with Swedish depth is on the D-side of things. We have atleast one set of Ds who will not survive Canadian pressure. Overall the system is totally weird. Watching how all other good teams work as a unit our team is sending one guy away and leaves the rest to defend. Never seen something so stupid. When we try to create pressure in offensive zone more often than not leaves us with 3 guys far to low in the zone and a potential 3 vs 2 for the opponents. Another very odd thing with this team is that they have insane problems with clearing the zone. Ive never seen so many clearing attempts get stopped at the blue line. Overall this team doesnt look anywhere near as good and coherent as those who lost the finals vs Canada 10 years ago but they do have a tendency to win so... i guess we have that going for us. =)The depth difference is not that great. Individuality doesn't win in a team game. And many betting sites! Think this Usa team are more individual skilled then the Canadian team, The skill final has already been played!
While true for large sample sizes, individuality can certainly win a game for a team in a small sample size of one game.Individuality doesn't win in a team game.

No, we didnt take out USA quite easily. It's hard repeat that unprecedented efficiency
